Giving
Thanks
At this time of year, we are always reminded about how thankful we
are for the continued support we receive from all of our loyal
supporters. Without your support, we could not carry on Louise's
legacy of caring for the under served in northeast Mexico and the Rio
Grande Valley.
During our
recent board meeting, we reflected on the accomplishments of CUPS in
our first year without Louise. We were able to complete five projects
including several roofing projects and the building of a new
classroom under the leadership of Fidencio. The supply of donations
has been non-stop and we are now able to more efficiently transport
and distribute these donations in Mexico with the hiring of Rafael.
Elementary school children throughout the region have benefited from
your donated educational materials and computers.
None of
these things could have been accomplished without your support. It is
our hope that you will continue to support CUPS with your regular
donations particularly as we near the end of the year. This is a time
when many of us make special contributions to organizations we feel
do especially valuable work and we hope you will include a donation
to CUPS in your plans. For all you do for CUPS, we give you
thanks.
Blankets
and School Supplies
Once again,
the wonderful folks of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church near Houston
have come together to help assemble school supply packets and work on
fleece blankets for CUPS. As always, these donations are so
important to the children and those without heat for the upcoming
winter. Most of the school supplies have already been distributed by
Rafael and Fidencio. The blankets are on their way just in time for
cooler weather.
